Avast Free Antivirus is an antivirus developed for the Windows operating system that detects and disinfects a large number of known viruses and is able to recognize the trail of modifications produced by all types of malware.
In addition, it is fully integrated into our system,
offering real-time protection services.
It has two types of interface:
One simple for inexperienced users and one advanced for more advanced users.
As for its tools, it has a resident scanning system that, once activated, is minimized as an icon in the system tray.
Each time you run a file or an application access, Avast Free Antivirus will check for possible virus threats.
This resident protection system is divided into three blocks:
File System Shield, Web Shield and E-mail Shield,
Each responsible for ensuring the security of our file management,
browsing the Internet and receiving E -Mails in our usual mail manager.
The program also registers and verifies the integrity of the backup data,
in order to avoid losses in case the infection is very widespread.
All these checks are registered in a registry that we can later review along with the update date of virus definitions or items that have been quarantined.
Avast also includes its own Firewall to avoid the execution of suspicious applications,
being able to choose which programs we want to run or block those that can cause problems.
In addition, the update of Avast Free Antivirus is constant,
which allows to have a security tool prepared to defend against the latest threats.
